Small thiele design guide
WebThiele/Small parameters were created from the hard work of (wait for it!) A.N. Thiele and Richard Small, who, through experimentation, came up with a method of measuring … Thiele/Small parameters (commonly abbreviated T/S parameters, or TSP) are a set of electromechanical parameters that define the specified low frequency performance of a loudspeaker driver. These parameters are published in specification sheets by driver manufacturers so that designers have a guide in selecting off-the-shelf drivers for loudspeaker designs. Using these parameters, a loudspeaker designer may simulate the position, velocity an…

Discussion in ' Amps and Cabs [BG] ' started by Basslice, Sep 4, 2024 . I am going to build a cabinet for a '69 B-25. I pretty much want a Thiele-Small box similar in shape and design to the '68 B15N cabinet (1 X 15") of the day. I do not want a 2 X 15 - too old for that and don't need the size or volume ...
WebMay 15, 2005 · #1 I wonder how effective it is to just know thiele small parameters for pro drivers, as pro drivers will be used to its almost full Power / extrusion, which would change the thiele parameters completely. For eg. If we consider an 18” or 15” driver having a qes of 0.28 and xmax of 6mm (Linear) and to be used in a horn cabinet. WebThe design is often described as non-resonant, and some designs are sufficiently stuffed with absorbent material that there is indeed not much output from the line's port. But it is the inherent resonance (typically at 1/4 wavelength) that can enhance the bass response in this type of enclosure, albeit with less absorbent stuffing.
WebViolet = Qtc: 0.9; Green = Qtc: 0.8; Red = Qtc: 0.7; Yellow = Qtc: 0.6; Cyan = Qtc: 0.5; Vb: Vb is the net internal volume of the speaker enclosure. EBP: EBP is the efficiency bandwidth product. It is used as a guide to determine whether a speaker will work better in a ported or sealed enclosure.
