WebI often alt-tab to switch between FFXIV and other applications and the client crashes when ran in fullscreen mode and alt-tabbing back into the game. I switched to Borderless Windowed mode and this has several advantages: No crashes, no delay between switching to other apps and back into FFXIV. WebI could (and have) adjusted settings to resolve this. I changed my desktop to use the DSR resolution and then switched to borderless window in game.
